Fighters of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine showed how they destroy the occupiers in the hottest spots

They, the 10th detachment of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, met the invaders in Gostomel on the first day of the great war. This is how the story, filmed by Channel 5 journalists, "Uninvented Stories" with Olga Kalinovska begins.

"They drove the enemy from there, clearing the city of the remnants of the Russians. They helped organize raids on Azovstal, from where they managed to evacuate more than 60 wounded, land 72 volunteers in the besieged city and deliver 30 tons of cargo. And this in 7 flights, each of which could be the last. For some, it was... In the course of these raids, 3 ships were lost... And a year ago, on the second attempt, they liberated Zmiiny Island, placing the Ukrainian flag there," says the beginning of the story. And these are only a few operations of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense, of which dozens have been carried out. "They appear out of nowhere and disappear, terrorizing the enemy," the presenter emphasized.

Andriy, the platoon commander of the special unit of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, said: "Our last task was to go to Bakhmut. Now we are preparing for the next task, I cannot say yet. In Bakhmut, we worked both on the outskirts of the city and in the city. Our main the job is to clear and storm, but situationally it turned out that it was necessary to hold the defense. First, the "Wagnerians" work, you see, they were poorly dressed, and their training is minimal...

They were let in in small groups to find out our positions, only then did more prepared people go. One should not underestimate the enemy, especially the "Wagnerians". This is an army that fights all the time, they have a lot of combat experience not only in Ukraine, but also in other parts of the planet. Their peculiarity is that if there is a set task, then no one counts anything. They will sacrifice personnel until they advance at least an inch, despite the terrible losses.

When we fight, we learn, and we can say that we are still learning to this day. At the elementary level, we try to make sure that every fighter can shoot any type of weapon, everyone also has engineering skills, and everyone has tactical medicine. Of course, there are people who specialize in certain areas, but every stormtrooper of our special forces can do a little bit of everything. If we have to be foot soldiers today, we will be foot soldiers. If we need to do some sabotage work tomorrow, we will be saboteurs. It will be necessary to clean, we will clean.

We have all the necessary equipment, including through charitable funds, thermal imagers, drones, and means of communication. All for conducting effective battles.

I started the war in 2022 by creating a territorial defense unit in one of the cities of Kyiv region, it had more than a thousand fighters. Then I realized that I wanted to continue, so I went to the Main Directorate of Intelligence. The peculiarity of our unit is that we are all volunteers. Almost all people in our country have achieved something in civilian life - they are businessmen, officials, and professional athletes. We even have world champions. As practice has shown, such people learn very quickly and fight better than others.

We all have one goal - the fastest possible victory for Ukraine. After it, I definitely won't be a soldier, I couldn't even see myself as a soldier before the war."

Myroslav, former athlete, master of MMA and oriental martial arts: "Among us there are many former professional athletes. We have to constantly train to be in shape. I personally came as a volunteer to the Military Commissariat and later got to the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense. This is where the real life began service. After the victory, the first thing I want is to see my family."
