Ensuring the effective use of international aid provided to Ukraine by the US government is the main goal of the memorandum signed today by NABU Director Semyon Kryvonos and Pentagon Inspector General Robert Storch.
The document envisages conducting joint activities to detect and prevent corruption offenses that affect aid from the United States.
From October 18, 2023, Robert Storch, the inspector general of the US Department of Defense, will act as the overseer of the funds provided to Ukraine. He will cooperate with the oversight bodies of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the State Department. The official will monitor the flow of aid that Washington has sent to Ukraine since the start of the full-scale invasion.
