Делегация США отправилась на консультации с НАТО по поводу "украинского вопроса"
После переговоров с Россией в Женеве заместитель государственного секретаря США Венди Шерман прибыла на консультации в Брюссель, в штаб-квартиру НАТО. В повестке дня переговоров первым стоит "украинский" вопрос.
Заместитель госсекретаря Венди Шерман, возглавляющая дипломатическое взаимодействие США с Россией, прибыла в Брюссель, чтобы встретиться и проконсультироваться с союзниками по НАТО накануне завтрашнего заседания Совета Россия-НАТО. Украина находится на первом месте в повестке дня, говорится в сообщении миссии миссии США при НАТО.

Сама Шерман сообщила, что встретилась с Генеральным секретарем НАТО Йенсом Столтенбергом. "Мы подтвердили единый подход НАТО к России, сочетающий сдерживание и диалог, и подчеркнули нашу непреклонную поддержку Украины", - отметила чиновница.

Напомним, Российская Федерация настаивает на том, чтобы Североатлантический альянс отказался от членства Грузии и Украины в НАТО. В США заявили, что не позволят никому закрыть двери Альянса для любой страны. Также мы писали, что США будут приветствовать прогресс в переговорах с Россией. Некоторые пункты требований Москвы Вашингтон категорически не приемлет, но уже есть список вопросов для обсуждения.
