Байден та Гарріс вперше з'явилися на публіці після програшу демократів на виборах
Чинний президент США Джо Байден та віцепрезидентка Камала Гарріс у понеділок, 11 листопада разом з'явилися на заході з нагоди Національного дня ветеранів. Це їхній перший спільний вихід після програшу демократів на виборах. Пресслужба Білого дому вела трансляцію у соцмережах.
Захід відбувся на Арлінгтонському кладовищі. Джо Байден закликав американців об’єднатися та зберігати віру один в одного. "Це момент, коли треба об’єднатися як нація, зберегти віру один в одного", - сказав він.
Чинний президент США віддав шану ветеранам, які боролися за те, щоби захистити американські цінності, та наголосив, що тепер збереження всього, що відстоювали ветерани, залежить від кожного американця. Байден та Гарріс також взяли участь у покладанні вінка на могилу Невідомого солдата.
