New level of threat: Iran attacks energy and military facilities – Rezazade
According to the latest media reports, an Iranian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) has carried out an attack on NATO’s Incirlik air base in Turkey, where US nuclear bombs are stored.
At the same time, a UAV explosion was recorded in Dubai near the International Financial Centre (DIFC), causing smoke and shattered windows. There were also reports of explosions in the Jumeirah Beach area and a hit on The Address Creek Harbour Tower 2, where a fire broke out on the upper floors.
International expert and first vice president of the Iranian opposition in Washington, Ali Reza Rezazade, notes that these actions demonstrate Tehran’s readiness to use tactical strikes to put pressure on US allies and strategically important facilities in the region.
“The use of drones to attack military and civilian targets demonstrates Iran’s desire to demonstrate its ability to influence regional security. At the same time, such actions increase the risk of escalation and endanger civilian lives and critical infrastructure,” Rezazade explains.
The expert emphasizes that such incidents highlight the importance of deterrence and coordination of actions by US allies in the region.
“Today, we see that the conflict goes beyond the borders of Iran and the US, covering key strategic nodes — from NATO air bases to financial and residential complexes in Persian Gulf cities. Washington and its partners must respond with caution to prevent further escalation,” Ali Reza Rezade summarizes.
