Жертвами шторму стало, щонайменше, сім осіб, серед яких 12-річна дівчинка. Ще близько 30 осіб пропали без вісті.
Ураган зруйнував дороги і практично повністю паралізував транспортне сполучення в країні. Більше 200 тисяч жителів Омана залишилися без електрики.
Більше 500 сімей залишилися без даху над головою - зараз вони розміщені в тимчасових притулках. Повідомляється, що в даний момент допомога Оману надають сусідні країни - Саудівська Аравія, Об'єднані Арабські Емірати і Катар.
