В США заморозили активы российского олигарха Дерипаски
Об этом сообщает The New York Post со ссылкой на представителей Министерства финансов Штатов.
В частности, власти США заморозили большие особняки россиянина в Манхэттене и Вашингтоне.
Издание пишет, что один из домов в Нью-Йорке Дерипаска купил в 2008 году за $42,5 миллионов.
В то же время, по информации издания, представители власти ведут с олигархом переговоры, предлагая ему отказаться от некоторых операций в Европе, чтобы они не попали под санкции.
"Когда правительство замораживает активы, это означает, что каждый, кто ведет бизнес с лицом и компаниями под санкциями, может подвергаться санкциям", - отмечают журналисты.
Американские чиновники подчеркивают, что Дерипаска близок к "лидерам русской мафии" и президенту РФ Владимиру Путину, и он находится в списке санкций, поскольку якобы причастен к убийству, отмыванию средств, взяточничеству и рэкету.
