Во Франции из-за аномальной жары погибли почти 1500 человек
Этим летом Францию накрыла аномальная жара, из-за которой погибли 1435 человек.
Об этом сообщила министерка здравоохранения Франции Аньес Бузин, информирует BBC.
Отмечается, что большая часть из умерших были пожилые люди старше 75 лет.
Впрочем среди жертв жары были и дети.
По словам министерки, в этом году погибли в десять раз меньше людей, чем за аналогичный период 2003 года, когда на Европу обрушилась смертельная волна жары.
Сообщается, что в этом году 567 человек умерли во время первой волны жары с 24 июня по 7 июля. Еще 868 умерли во время второй волны - с 21 по 27 июля.
В конце августа метеорологи предупреждали о "солнечном кошмару в Европе", температура достигнет +40 градусов.
