Vice President of the Iranian Opposition in Washington (NIC) Ali Reza Rezazade said that on Monday evening, Israel carried out intensive airstrikes on Rafah, the attack lasted about half an hour and was almost continuous, Israeli tanks also entered the city.
Strikes were carried out on locations of terrorist groups, as a result of which more than 50 enemy objects were hit. Before the start of the operation, the Israeli military called on the residents of Rafah to evacuate. Residents of the city of Rafah tried to cross the territory of Egypt in the western border area between Rafah and the Sinai Peninsula, but the forces of the Egyptian army stopped this attempt.
"On the evening of May 6, Hamas announced that it accepts the Egyptian-Qatari proposal for a cease-fire and the release of hostages - their number will be determined during negotiations with Israel, but the Egyptian-Qatar proposal for a cease-fire, accepted by Hamas, did not make any sense to Israel and did not was acceptable," Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said.
Iranian opposition leader Ali Reza Rezazade indicates that the military cabinet has unanimously decided that Israel will continue the operation in Rafah to put military pressure on Hamas. However, despite the fact that the Hamas proposal is far from Israel's demands, Israel will send a delegation of mediators to discuss the possibility of reaching an agreement on terms acceptable to Israel.
