Прем'єр-міністр Естонії Крістен Міхал вважає, що змусити очільника Кремля Владіміра Путіна зупинити війну можливо тільки силою, а американський президент Дональд Трамп не одразу це усвідомив.
Про це він сказав в інтерв'ю Corriere della Sera. Міхал заявив, що президент США не одразу усвідомив, що домовитися з Путіним неможливо. "Як і деякі європейські лідери, коли спалахнула війна, американський президент думав, що зможе чогось досягти, поговоривши з Путіним. Але я думаю, що тепер вони зрозуміли, що це не так. Ми, європейці, знаємо, що Росії не можна довіряти. Єдиний спосіб зупинити її – це сила, – сказав прем'єр Естонії.
Також він впевнений: глава Кремля продовжує війну через внутрішньополітичні причини. "Для Путіна та його режиму страх – єдиний спосіб залишитися при владі", – підсумував Міхал.
