Трамп знову атакує НАТО: назвав альянс «застарілим», а Путіна — наляканим його силою. На тлі війни в Україні та загострення відносин із Росією, колишній президент США вкотре поставив під сумнів роль НАТО, але водночас визнав, що саме страх перед альянсом стримує Кремль.
У новому інтерв’ю Дональд Трамп повторив свою тезу про «застарілість» НАТО, водночас наголосивши, що саме потужність альянсу змушує Володимира Путіна боятися прямого зіткнення. Його слова пролунали на тлі триваючої війни в Україні та дискусій про майбутнє трансатлантичної безпеки. Трамп вкотре розкритикував європейських союзників за недостатні витрати на оборону, але визнав, що без НАТО світ був би значно більш небезпечним.
