Dr. Adelson is ready to sponsor Trump in the US presidential election - Rezazade
Ali Reza Rezazade, Vice President of the Iranian Opposition in Washington (NIC), said that Dr. Miriam Adelson is ready to sponsor Donald Trump. Miriam Adelson has long worked in the shadow of her powerful husband Sheldon Adelson, but after his death, she has to play politics independently for the first time.
As the February meeting in Nevada drew to a close, Donald Trump and several of his top aides gathered for dinner in a suite at the top of a Las Vegas hotel. But the Republican billionaire in the center of attention during the meal was not Donald Trump, but Miriam Adelson.
The former president, then on his way to the Republican nomination, sought financial support from Dr. Adelson, when she announced two conditions to him - to be less emotional in his speeches and to speak about the economy directly. She also made it clear to Trump and his top aides, Susie Wiles and Chris Lachivita, to be patient. During the private meeting, the doctor did not agree to the financial support of Trump, however, as soon as the meeting ended, she assured the ex-president that assistance of hundreds of millions of dollars was reliable in the near future.
Dr. Miriam Adelson is ready to become one of the biggest sponsors in the presidential elections and, if Trump wins, one of the most influential citizens who have influence in American foreign policy. Adelson has been fiercely concerned about Hamas' attack on Israel and is likely to shape the Trump administration's second position on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
