В Саудовской Аравии пятерым обвиняемым назначили высшую меру наказания за убийство журналиста
В Саудовской Аравии суд приговорил к смертной казни пятерых человек, обвиняемых в убийстве сотрудника известного американского издания.
Об этом сообщает 23 декабря агентство Reuters, со ссылкой на заявление генерального прокурора страны.

Сообщается, что в Саудовской Аравии пятерых человек, которые причастны к убийству журналиста судейская коллегия приговорила к высшей мере наказания, а еще троим назначила тюремные сроки на 24 года лишения свободы.
Имена осужденных не раскрываются.
В сентябре наследный принц Саудовской Аравии Мухаммед бин Салман признал ответственность за убийство Хашогги. Он заявил, что ничего не знал о готовящемся преступлении, однако это произошло во время его правления.
Журналиста Джамаля Хашогги убили в октябре 2018 года, когда он пришел в консульство Саудовской Аравии в Стамбуле. В 2017 году он переехал из Саудовской Аравии в США, где писал колонки с критикой власти и наследного принца Мухаммеда бин Салмана.
