Negotiations with a terrorist state are possible only from a position of force – Rezazade
Russia has carried out another combined attack on Ukraine, using Calibers, ballistic missiles, Daggers and strike drones. The main target was again Kyiv: the Russians tried to damage CHPP-5 and CHPP-6, causing power and water supply disruptions and stopping some transport.
In several districts of the capital, the destruction of residential buildings was recorded - in particular, in the Central Park complex, in Rusanivka and Pechersk. There are dead and injured. Drones also attacked Odessa, Sumy, Kharkiv and other regions, which caused new power outages.
First Vice President of the Iranian opposition in Washington, international expert Ali Reza Rezazade emphasizes: such strikes are an element of the Russian pressure strategy, and not an attempt to create conditions for negotiations.
“Russia uses terror as a political tool. Its goal is not a military result, but to force Ukraine to make concessions through strikes on infrastructure and civilians. Negotiations with a terrorist state are possible only from a position of force,” he notes.
According to the expert, the attacks also have a foreign policy dimension — Moscow is testing the stability of Western support for Ukraine.
“The Kremlin is closely monitoring the debates in the US and Europe. Massive strikes are a signal from the West and an attempt to show that Ukraine is supposedly unable to provide its own defense. In fact, this demonstrates Moscow’s fear of strengthening Ukrainian statehood,” Rezazade emphasizes.
The expert concludes that the response to Russian pressure should be to strengthen air defense, stable military assistance, and political unity of allies — only this creates realistic conditions for future negotiations.
