Росія намагається використати кризу навколо Ірану для власної пропаганди, аби пояснити свою війну проти України як "захисний крок від Заходу". Попри те, що Тегеран постачав Москві дрони Shahed та ракети, Кремль не планує втручатися у внутрішні події в Ірані.
Така позиція, за оцінками експертів, шкодить міжнародному іміджу РФ, але водночас дозволяє їй відвернути увагу від власної агресії. Аналітики зазначають, що Москва прагне показати США як порушника міжнародних норм і невдалого дипломата. Це, на думку російських стратегів, має закріпити образ Заходу як головної загрози та виправдати дії Кремля в Україні.
Одним із перших на події в Ірані відреагував Дмитро Медведєв, який у соцмережах звинуватив Вашингтон у маніпуляціях. Інші російські політики також заявили, що дипломатія з американським керівництвом "безглузда".
Таким чином, Москва намагається перетворити іранську кризу на аргумент у власній інформаційній війні, щоб приховати бездіяльність та виправдати агресію проти України.
