Президент США Дональд Трамп заявив, що військова кампанія проти Ірану може завершитися приблизно за чотири тижні. За його словами, саме на такий термін операція була розрахована від початку.
Він не виключив, що процес може закінчитися навіть раніше, підкресливши масштаби країни як фактор, що впливає на тривалість дій. У коментарі британському виданню Daily Mail Трамп зазначив: "Це завжди був чотиритижневий процес. Ми вважали, що це буде чотири тижні або близько того. Це велика країна, тож це займе чотири тижні – або менше".
Водночас американський президент залишився відкритим до можливих переговорів з іранською стороною, але наголосив, що момент для діалогу був більш слушним раніше. Він не назвав конкретних дат чи умов для нових контактів, лише підтвердив готовність до діалогу.
Таким чином, Вашингтон демонструє впевненість у швидкому завершенні операції, залишаючи простір для дипломатії, але водночас підкреслюючи, що Іран мав шанс на переговори раніше.
