If Russia is not stopped today, it will go to Europe tomorrow – Rezazade
The first vice president of the Iranian opposition in Washington, Ali Reza Rezazade, has again appealed to American politicians, in particular the Donald Trump administration, with an appeal to provide Ukraine with immediate military assistance. In his opinion, any attempts to reach agreements with Russia only postpone new stages of escalation.
“Russia is only able to cease fire temporarily — in order to then make new claims. Today it seeks to destroy Ukraine, and tomorrow it may challenge Europe itself. This is not just a war — it is an undermining of the international order. If it is not stopped now, tomorrow it will be too late,” Rezazade noted.
The politician also emphasized that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky fights for his state every day, regardless of ratings and personal political benefits.
“Zelensky works every day to save the country. He does not count on applause, he saves real lives. This is what makes him the leader of the free world - not pathos, but devotion to his state,” Rezazade said.
On the night of April 24, Russia carried out another wave of large-scale attacks on the territory of Ukraine. Kyiv, Kharkiv, Pavlograd, Zhytomyr and other regions were under missile and drone fire. Cruise missiles of the Kh-101, Kalibr, Iskander-M ballistic missiles, Kh-59/69 aircraft guided missiles and Shahed UAVs were used.
“Peaceful cities wake up to the sounds of explosions. People lose their relatives, homes, and faith in security. And at the same time, the Kremlin cynically tries to justify these attacks, calling them a “response” to Ukrainian defense. But there is no justification for strikes on houses where children sleep. This is not an answer — it is a crime,” Rezazade emphasized.
In his address, he once again emphasized the need for increased support for Ukraine from the United States and its allies:
“Today, Ukraine is a shield for all of Europe. If this shield falls, the Russian regime will move on. Military aid to Kyiv is not charity, but a strategic decision in the name of stability throughout the world.”
