Trump Demands Federal Workers Return to Offices – Rezazade
Vice President of the Iranian opposition in Washington, Ali Reza Rezazade, points out that US President Donald Trump made a series of statements during a long press conference in Florida on Monday.
He warned of firing civil servants who refuse to return to work in offices, and also promised further lawsuits against the media, defended his controversial nominee for Secretary of Defense, considered a pardon for New York Mayor Eric Adams and expressed support for TikTok, a social media platform that is under threat of being banned in the US.
Donald Trump has said that civil servants who continue to work from home must return to work in offices or face dismissal. According to him, “government work should be done in the workplace, not on the couch at home.” Trump continues his confrontation with the media and announced his intention to file new lawsuits against the media, which, according to him, “spread fake news and try to misinform the public.”
The president defended his choice for the post of Secretary of Defense, without calling his candidacy “wrong.” Despite the criticism, Trump emphasized that he trusts this decision and is confident in the candidate’s abilities.
In the context of the recent scandals surrounding New York Mayor Eric Adams, Trump said that he is ready to consider pardoning him if the situation requires it.
Trump unexpectedly mentioned his “warm feelings” for TikTok, a social platform that has faced a potential ban in the United States. He noted that he will consider this issue in more detail in the future.
At the beginning of the press conference, Trump appeared with SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son to announce the Japanese company’s large-scale investment plans in the American economy.
