US defense experts are outraged by Israel's shelling of civilians - Rezazade
Vice President of the Iranian Opposition in Washington (NIC), Ali Reza Rezazade, said that defense experts in the United States have reviewed images of the wreckage of an Israeli airstrike that caused a deadly fire in a camp for displaced Palestinians and questioned why Israel did not use a smaller, more accurate weapons when there were so many civilians around.
Defense experts say the bombs used were likely made in the United States.
It will be recalled that the Israeli strike was aimed at Hamas operatives, but killed up to 45 people who were hiding in a temporary displacement camp near the southern Gaza city of Rafah. Civilian casualties drew international condemnation. Israel is currently investigating the attack, but says the Hamas targets were 1.7 kilometers (1 mile) from the declared humanitarian zone and that its pre-strike survey did not identify any expected civilian casualties.
