The death of the president of Iran Raisi and its consequences - Iranian oppositionist Rezazade
Iranian oppositionist and expert Ali Reza Rezazade commented on the death of the Iranian president. The vice president of the Iranian opposition in Washington believes that currently Iran has every chance for positive changes and the return of the country to a democratic system, which will provide an opportunity to maintain adequate international relations and ensure further prosperity.
The leader of the Iranian opposition analyzed the first possible consequences of the death of the Iranian president.
Until now, Iran has closely cooperated with Russia and China, mostly in matters of oil, production and supply of weapons, construction of nuclear power plant in Bushehr and aggression against peaceful peoples. In addition, Ibrahim Raisi was involved in mass executions of Iranian political prisoners in 1988, they were subjected to severe torture, for which Raisi was subject to US sanctions. Under Raisi's leadership, Iran enriched uranium to weapons-grade levels, thwarting international inspections.
"Raisi was a supporter of the brutal line in Iranian politics and now the Iranian people have every chance to break this line, Iran can become a free country where every citizen will have freedom of speech and action, freedom of choice of religion, restoring world international relations and giving up aggression towards peaceful countries, such as Ukraine or Israel," the expert assures.
The leader of the Iranian opposition believes that Raisi's death can cause a new upsurge of the protest movement, where the people will stand up for their own freedom and the end of aggression, in order for Iran to return to international relations with the civilian world.
