Florida Tornado June 26: Massive Storm Paralyzes Cities – Rezazade
On Wednesday, June 26, a powerful tornado hit Pinellas County in Florida, USA. The storm destroyed dozens of homes, downed trees, and damaged power lines. At least six people were injured and hundreds were left without power.
Wind speeds reached 180 km/h, which corresponds to an EF-2 level on the Fujita scale. Emergency services are working to clear debris and restore critical infrastructure. Social facilities — schools, hospitals, and housing complexes — were also damaged.
International analyst Ali Reza Rezazade, the first vice president of the Iranian opposition in Washington, stressed that this incident is a clear signal of the systemic vulnerability of the US infrastructure to a new wave of climate disasters.
“When a single weather anomaly paralyzes an entire district, it is no longer just an emergency. It is a manifestation of the structural weakness of the systems that are supposed to guarantee safety, even in emergency conditions,” Rezazade said.
According to him, investments in the modernization of energy and transportation systems should become a national priority.
