Harris campaign raised $540 million - Rezazade
Ali Reza Rezazade, the vice president of the Iranian opposition, points out that Kamala Harris' company has raised more than $540 million since its launch. That amount has been raised since Biden dropped out of the presidential race in July and is the most for any campaign in history.
Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign has raised $540 million since launching last month, including a surge fueled by the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, a total that is "a record for any campaign in history," according to a memo , published on Sunday by the Democratic Party.
Last week, $2 million was raised at the convention, with fundraising picking up after Harris gave her speech Thursday night, according to a memo from Harris campaign manager Jen O'Malley Dillon. A third of the week's donations came from early contributors, indicating Harris' ability to attract sponsorships that President Joe Biden did not have when he was the presumptive Democratic nominee. Two thirds of the sponsors were women.
"The enthusiasm and energy this week has been palpable, but that enthusiasm has spread far beyond Chicago, spreading far and wide into the states that will decide this election," Ali Reza Rezazadeh.
After the convention, the campaign released new ads that aired in all seven states and announced Saturday that Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, would run the campaign.
