Harris supported the repeal of the ban on abortion - Rezazade
The vice president of the Iranian opposition in Washington, Ali Reza Rezazade, indicates that Kamala Harris has expressed support for the abolition of the ban on abortion in the United States. Harris plans to introduce legislation to restore abortion rights across the country.
"We need to put back into law the protection of reproductive freedom and the ability of every man and every woman to make decisions about their own bodies, and not have the government tell them what to do," Kamala Harris points out.
In 2022, Harris already raised this issue and indicated that the Senate should do everything in order to pass the law. Harris has vowed that, as vice president, she will cast the breakthrough vote to end the filibuster to protect reproductive and voting rights. In her last speech, Harris reiterated her support for the abortion rights bill as the Democratic presidential candidate.
In an interview with WPR, Harris was asked what her plan is to get Congress to codify abortion rights.
Harris said voters should re-elect the senator, namely Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.), the Senate reproductive health leader who is running for office, "because we need the votes in Congress to do exactly what you say ".
