Trump claims fraud in Pennsylvania – Rezazade
Leader of the Iranian Opposition in Washington (NIC) Ali Reza Rezazade noted that Donald Trump claims fraud in Pennsylvania, but officials insist that the election is completely safe and secure.
"The former president's claims of fraud are wildly exaggerated and ignore the fact that voting guarantees work," US election authorities say.
Former President Donald Trump filed statements Wednesday accusing Pennsylvania of campaign fraud. Trump took this step because the state will be crucial for his electoral prospects. Democratic officials and voting rights advocates have said that Trump's accusations are wildly exaggerated and that the problems he and Republicans are focusing on are not only common but also proof that election safeguards are working as intended.
For months, Trump has used disinformation to claim to blow the election if he loses as he did in 2020. Now, just days before Election Day, Trump and his Republican allies appear increasingly focused on creating the impression that there are numerous problems with the Pennsylvania election and that the results cannot be trusted.
The former president has posted on social media and complained at rallies about alleged fraudulent voter registration applications in Lancaster and York counties. On Wednesday, his campaign sued Bucks County, a suburb outside Philadelphia, over allegations that voters were turned away when they tried to vote by mail in person.
