Trump is forcing decisions at unprecedented speed – Rezazade
In the first two months of his second term, Donald Trump has demonstrated unprecedented activity and aggressiveness in decision-making. As Ali Reza Rezazade, the first vice president of the Iranian opposition, reported in Washington, the new administration is deliberately acting quickly to confuse its opponents and prevent them from effectively countering.
“Their goal is not discussion, but control over the situation. They are making decisions one after another so quickly that no one has time to react,” Rezazadeh explained. According to him, Trump and his key advisers, including Stephen Miller, have drawn conclusions from their first term and are now trying to act without delay. A striking example is the signing of 102 executive orders in the first eight weeks of his second term alone, which exceeds the number in the two years of his first term.
Miller, as it became known from sources in the White House, even specially organized the signing of one of the decrees late on Friday evening in order to begin deportations before the courts had time to react. His principle: “The most important resource in government is time.” And former Trump advisor Steve Bannon said: “The main thing is not to give opponents time. No stops. No pauses.”
The administration has already received about 30 court injunctions in just these eight weeks, while there were 64 in the entire first term. But, according to Rezazade, this is part of the strategy - the Trump team is deliberately going to legal clashes in order to have time to implement the plans before someone has time to stop them.
“This is not just a style - this is an attempt to rebuild the state according to new rules. They are no longer playing the old Washington game,” Rezazade emphasizes.
The Trump administration is not just fulfilling campaign promises - it is trying to change the very approach to power: to act quickly, decisively, and persistently, leaving no time for opponents to react.
