Vance does not recognize the results of the 2020 US presidential election – Rezazade
Ali Reza Rezazade, the vice president of the Iranian opposition in Washington, points out that Jay Vance refused to recognize the results of the 2020 election and Trump's loss.
Vance's responses in his final speech downplayed Trump's role in trying to overturn a defeat the former president has never acknowledged, glossing over the then-president's multi-state effort to undermine the election and his incitement to the Jan. 6 attack.
"Remember, he said on January 6th that protesters should protest peacefully, and on January 20th, what happened? Joe Biden became president. Donald Trump left the White House," Vance said.
Vance sought to derail the debate, arguing that Vice President and presidential candidate Kamala Harris and Waltz were trying to stop people from speaking. Vance believes that the Democratic team is trying to silence people because they don't believe in the idea of democracy.
"Kamala Harris wants to use the power of government and big technology to silence people so they don't speak their mind. This is a threat to democracy that will outlast this political moment," Jay Vance argues.
