The vice president of the Iranian opposition in Washington, Ali Reza Rezazade, indicates that the administration of Joe Biden is outraged by Israel's actions against Hezbollah, because Biden made efforts to stop the fire, while the leadership of Israel went against the peace agreements.
At first, Israel ignored US efforts for a ceasefire in the war against Hezbollah. Then the leader of the militant movement, Hassan Nasrallah, was eliminated in a large-scale attack. Such news caught Washington by surprise.
Given Israel's disregard, the Joe Biden administration opposes any support for a military invasion of Lebanon.
The rift between the two allies became particularly pronounced in the days when the White House promised that Israel and Lebanon were going to agree to a cease-fire deal, only to remain an observer as Netanyahu promised the UN to destroy Hezbollah's ability to threaten Israel for the foreseeable future.
