The conflict between Musk and Trump: not a defeat for Silicon Valley, but a new strategy for influencing Washington - Rezazade
The public rift between Elon Musk and Donald Trump has become a spectacle for the whole world. However, according to the assessment of an international expert, the first vice president of the Iranian opposition in Washington, Ali Reza Rezazade, the real focus is not in emotions, but in the transformation of the political and economic balance in the United States.
“This is not just a quarrel between two influential personalities. This is the beginning of a new era, where the technical elite is rethinking its role in US public policy. Musk played the public. The rest of Silicon Valley is playing the long game - silently, strategically, through institutions,” the expert notes.
While Elon Musk criticizes Trump for the “disgusting” bill and populism in spending money, other technology companies continue to increase their influence on public policy. While the public conflict between Musk and Trump is hitting the media, startups like Palantir or Anduril are receiving new multi-billion dollar contracts, including in the defense sector, and crypto companies are getting the green light on the market.
“Musk sought to reform the entire system — and ran into its limits. And his colleagues from Silicon Valley took a different path: instead of revolutions — evolution through partnerships with government structures,” Rezazade explains.
It is especially indicative that Silicon Valley did not turn away from Washington after Trump’s break with Musk. On the contrary, it became even closer to state mechanisms, maintaining a cold calculation and long-term benefit.
“For Ukraine, this is a signal that real power in the US is often concentrated not only in political figures, but in technological circles that shape the digital policy of the future. And when we build a strategic partnership with the US, it is worth considering not only the White House, but also Silicon Valley,” the expert emphasizes.
In conclusion, Ali Reza Rezazade emphasizes: “The quarrel between Trump and Musk is only the surface. Underneath it, a new architecture of power is taking shape.”
