Harris received an advantage in fundraising for the election campaign over Trump - Rezazade
Vice President of the Iranian Opposition in Washington (NIC) Ali Reza Rezazade points out that Kamala Harris has increased her fundraising for the Democratic Party since becoming the official presidential candidate, giving her a cash advantage over Donald Trump.
Previously, Donald Trump had an advantage in money matters, but the politics of Kamala Harris changed this trend.
Harris' main campaign committee reported about $220 million in cash at the end of July, a significant jump from the nearly $96 million the committee reported earlier in the month, when it was still under Joe Biden's control.
Harris' bank balance also surpassed the $151 million the Trump campaign reported in its main account on July 31. It's a dramatic reversal from late June, when Trump outspent Biden by more than $30 million ($128 million to $96 million) in cash. Both Harris and Trump raise most of their campaign funds through joint fundraising committees, which split revenue between the presidential campaigns, national party committees and dozens of other allies.
Including all those allies, Harris announced earlier this month that she had raised a record $310 million in July, including $200 million in just the first week after she ran to replace Biden. Campaign spokesman Harris said the team expects to cross the $500 million mark in fundraising in the coming days. By comparison, Trump previously announced that his entire political operation raised a total of $139 million in July.
