Israel Strikes Iran’s Air Force – Rezazade
The Israel Defense Forces officially confirmed that on Monday night, the Israeli Air Force carried out a series of massive airstrikes on six Iranian air bases. As a result, at least 15 aircraft were destroyed, including F-14 and F-5 fighters and a strategic tanker aircraft.
Runways and underground hangars were also put out of action.
According to international expert and first vice president of the Iranian opposition in Washington, Ali Reza Rezazade, these strikes are not only a military operation, but also a clear geopolitical signal.
“This is a demonstration of Israel’s complete dominance in the air. They destroyed not just equipment, but Iran’s ability to respond quickly to air strikes,” the expert noted.
According to the IDF, the target was strategic hubs in central and southern Iran, where the elite aviation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps was based. In particular, it is about destroying the infrastructure capable of supporting a long-term war in the air.

“Iran has lost a significant part of the air component that provided it with defensive flexibility. After the loss of tanker aircraft and basic infrastructure, its air force will be paralyzed for at least several weeks, if not months,” Rezazade emphasizes.
At the same time, he warns that the situation remains extremely dangerous.
“Such a strike will not stop Iran, but will only push it to new, perhaps even tougher responses. We are facing the threat of a full-scale air war in the region, which will inevitably involve third players,” the expert adds.
For Ukraine, this is another reminder of the fragility of global security.
Rezazade also emphasizes that such events have repercussions far beyond the Middle East.
“When security systems built after World War II no longer deter military escalation, it is a wake-up call for everyone. Ukraine must step up coordination with partners, as the world’s attention increasingly shifts to other fronts,” he concludes.
