At least 290 Israeli soldiers have been killed in Gaza and more than 3,600 wounded since the ground invasion began, according to military statistics. The military said three more soldiers were killed and three others seriously wounded on Tuesday in Rafah, where Israeli forces were advancing in a long-awaited offensive.
