Michelle Obama supported Kamala Harris in a speech at the convention of the Democratic Party – Rezazade
Vice President of the Iranian Opposition in Washington (NIC) Ali Reza Rezazade noted that Michelle Obama supported the candidate for the presidency of the United States, Kamala Harris.
During the speech, Michelle Obama compared Harris to herself and found a lot in common, reinforcing the candidate's authority and telling her detailed biography to the people.
"Kamala Harris and I built our lives on the same fundamental values. Even though our mothers grew up apart, they shared the same belief in the promise of this country. That's why her mother moved here from India at the age of 19. That's why she taught Kamala about justice, about the duty to lift others up, about our responsibility to give more than we take. She often told her daughter, "Don't sit around and complain about things. Do something."
So, with that voice in her head, Kamala went out and worked hard in school, graduating from H.B.C.U., with a law degree from a public school. And then she continued to work for the people, fighting to bring offenders to justice, strengthening the rule of law, fighting to give people better wages, cheaper prescription drugs, good education, decent health care, child care , care for the elderly. From a middle-class household, Kamala worked her way up to become the Vice President of the United States of America.
My girl, Kamala Harris, is more than ready for this moment. She is one of the most qualified people to ever seek the office of president. And she is one of the most worthy. A tribute to her mother, my mother and your mother too. The embodiment of the stories we tell ourselves about this country. Her story is your story. This is my story. This is a story about the vast majority of Americans trying to build a better life. Look, Kamala knows, just like we do, that no matter where you come from, what you look like, who you love, how you worship, or what's in your bank account, we all deserve a chance to build a decent life. All our contributions deserve to be accepted and appreciated. Because no one has a monopoly on what it means to be an American. No one.
Kamala has demonstrated her loyalty to this nation. Not spewing anger and bitterness, but living a life of service and always pushing the door of opportunity open to others. She understands that most of us will never be given the grace to fail forward. We will never benefit from the positive actions of generational wealth," Michelle Obama said during her speech.
