Вице-президент иранской оппозиции в Вашингтоне Али Реза Резазаде указывает, что должность министра обороны в кабинете Трампа достаточно важна.
Сейчас среди наиболее вероятных кандидатов называют три фамилии.
Майк Помпео — экс-госсекретарь Трампа. Он отмечается публичной поддержкой Израиля и адептом расширения разрешений на применение американского оружия в Украине.
Том Коттон – первый претендент на пост министра обороны на прошлой каденции Трампа. Публично он выступал за предоставление необходимого оружия Украине. Но в целом поддерживает риторику уменьшения роли США в войнах в Европе.
Ну и на эту должность, как и на должность госсекретаря, среди претендентов называют Майка Вальца.
