Vice President of the Iranian Opposition in Washington (NIC), Ali Reza Rezazade, points out that the political conflicts inside Israel are gaining momentum and becoming more and more pronounced every day. The reason for this is that the majority of Israelis are against the conflict with the US, which Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is currently advocating for, going to the city of Rafah with a full-scale war.
We will remind that recently, US President Joe Biden officially announced the cancellation of military aid to Israel in the event of a change in the country's defensive actions to offensive ones, which caused a conflict between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Joe Biden.
"Israel celebrated Independence Day with commemorations for the victims of the ongoing war in Gaza, but political fissures in the country are becoming more pronounced, as even the usual torch-lighting ceremony was pre-recorded instead of being broadcast live, possibly for security reasons", - the expert notes.
An Iranian opposition leader indicates that a section of Israeli society is angry with Netanyahu for his seeming reluctance to prioritize the release and repatriation of dozens of Israeli hostages held by Hamas in Gaza, where Israel has waged more than six months of relentless military campaign. Families and friends of the hostages staged an alternative "torch dousing" ceremony to express their anger and concern.
