Trump administration's action plan includes challenging several policy decisions in courts – Rezazade
Ali Reza Rezazade, vice president of the Iranian opposition in Washington (NIC), says that officials in the new Trump administration have a ready answer for those who question the legality of the policies they plan to implement immediately after their inauguration: “Sue us.”
Donald Trump has long promised to take executive action to end the birthright citizenship of children born in the United States to illegal immigrants. His advisers believe that litigation will be part of that strategy, not an obstacle.
Similarly, the new budget officials plan to openly ignore the 1974 law that requires spending funds approved by Congress. They want to force the courts to review the constitutionality of this law, which was passed after the Watergate scandal.
In addition, the Trump administration intends to restore a policy from the end of his first term that made it easier to fire tens of thousands of civil servants. The decision directly contradicts the actions of the Biden administration, which has sought to strengthen protections for such workers. However, Trump expects that individual civil servants will be forced to file their own appeals.
According to two anonymous sources, Trump could make these decisions as early as the first day or within the first month of his new presidential term. These include actions in the areas of immigration, tariffs and federal reform.
