Trump Appoints Sachs to Lead US Policy on AI and Cryptocurrency – Rezazade
Vice President of the Iranian Opposition in Washington (NIC) Ali Reza Rezazade indicated that US President-elect Donald Trump has announced that former PayPal COO David Sachs will take a key position responsible for the administration’s policy on artificial intelligence (AI) and cryptocurrencies.
Trump announced this on his Truth Social social network.
“In this important position, David will lead the administration’s policy on artificial intelligence and cryptocurrencies, two areas that are critical to America’s future competitiveness. David will focus on making America the undisputed world leader in both areas,” Trump said.
David Sachs, according to Trump, will work to create a clear legislative framework for cryptocurrencies that will ensure the prosperity of the industry in the United States. In this context, Trump recalled his desire to make the United States the “cryptocurrency capital of the world” and even considered the idea of accumulating a national reserve of bitcoins.
In addition, Sachs will head the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, where he will focus on the strategic development of innovation and competitive advantages of the United States.
It is worth noting that Trump was previously skeptical of cryptocurrencies, calling them a fraud. However, during the election campaign, he changed his course, recognizing the strategic importance of digital assets for the economy of the future. The appointment of David Sachs, who has extensive experience in the technology sector, may indicate the serious intentions of the Trump administration to turn the United States into a global leader in AI and blockchain technologies.
