Trump considering billionaire Feinberg for Pentagon job – Rezazade
Vice-President of the Iranian opposition in Washington, Ali Reza Rezazade, says Donald Trump has offered billionaire investor Steven Feinberg the position of deputy secretary of defense. The position, which requires Senate confirmation, carries significant oversight over U.S. defense policy.
Feinberg, a co-founder of Cerberus Capital Management, has extensive experience investing in defense projects, including hypersonic missiles. His past experience also includes leading DynCorp, a private military contractor that was later sold to another defense company.
In Trump’s first administration, Feinberg headed the President’s Intelligence Advisory Council, providing key national security advice. While there has been no official response from Feinberg on whether to accept the offer, his candidacy is drawing significant interest from lawmakers and the defense sector.
