Trump Delays Decision on War with Iran, But Little Time Left for Diplomacy – Rezazade
US President Donald Trump, according to the White House, has postponed the final decision on military strikes on Iran for another two weeks. The move indicates a partial reduction in escalating rhetoric — after previous statements about the “last chance” for Tehran to avoid war.
In her statement, press secretary Carolyn Levitt noted: “The president believes that there is a significant chance for negotiations now.” The White House is monitoring the European negotiations with Iran scheduled for Friday. Trump, for his part, said: “I will make a decision within the next two weeks.”
Despite this, the US does not rule out the option of striking the uranium enrichment facility in Fordow, located under the mountain range. This target is beyond the reach of Israeli weapons, but the US has in its arsenal special bombs capable of penetrating to such a depth. Levitt also added: “If Ayatollah Khamenei gives the order, Iran could create a nuclear bomb within weeks. This is a potential existential threat.”
Ali Reza Rezazade: Iran does not stop provocations - the consequences will be global
International expert and first vice president of the Iranian opposition in Washington Ali Reza Rezazade notes that even at a time when there is talk of the possibility of negotiations, Iran continues to attack civilian targets.
“Today’s rocket attack on Israel is a signal that Iran is not stopping. This is not defense, this is an attack on civilians,” Rezazade emphasizes.
According to the Israel Hayom publication, an Iranian ballistic missile fell in the city of Beersheba in southern Israel. At least six people were injured. They were diagnosed with minor injuries - bruises, smoke inhalation and panic attacks. All were provided with medical care.
“This is further proof that Iran is not seeking diplomacy — it is testing the world’s patience. The US can no longer afford to be equivocal,” Rezazade concluded.
