Trump opposed easing immigration rules - Rezazadeh
The leader of the Iranian opposition in Washington (NIC), Ali Reza Rezazadeh, points out that Donald Trump has once again opposed easing the rules for the legal stay of immigrants in the United States.
During his speech to Christian conservatives on Saturday, Trump jokingly proposed the creation of a league of fighters to fight immigrants, while images of migrants as violent criminals and “poison to the whole country” played in the background.
Later at a rally in Philadelphia that evening, Trump said he told his friend Dana White, the president of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, that he should start an additional contest featuring immigrants as part of his riff on immigration restrictions.
"Dana, I have an idea. Why don't you create a league of migrant fighters and create your regular league of fighters, and then you have the champion of your league - these are the greatest fighters in the world - fight the champion of migrants," said Donald Trump .
At a post-fight news conference in Saudi Arabia later Saturday, White confirmed that Trump had made the comments but said it was a "joke."
