Trump Responds to Putin’s New Nuclear Threats – Rezazadeh
After Putin’s statement on the Burevestnik missile test, US President Donald Trump responded sharply, warning the Russian leader against further threats. In his address, Trump recalled that the United States has nuclear submarines off the Russian coast — “the best in the world,” so they do not need long-distance intercontinental launches.
He also called on Putin to end the war against Ukraine, which was supposed to last “one week,” but is already entering its fourth year.
International expert and first vice president of the Iranian opposition in Washington, Ali Reza Rezazade, notes that Trump’s response is not just a reaction to the Kremlin’s rhetoric, but a signal of strategic confidence. According to him, Washington is demonstrating that it is ready to act from a position of strength, but without provocations to open nuclear escalation.
“Trump’s statement is a typical rhetoric of a strong leader who does not allow himself to be blackmailed. He does not speak the language of fear, but the language of responsibility and strength. This is the main difference between the US approach and Russia’s aggressive demonstration of weapons,” Rezazade emphasizes.
According to the expert, Trump is purposefully shifting the focus from the nuclear race to the political weakness of the Kremlin, which, despite large-scale statements, cannot achieve its military goals in Ukraine. “When he tells Putin: ‘you should end the war,’ it is not only a call, but also a reminder of the strategic failure of the Russian regime,” he explains.
Rezazade emphasizes that such a position of the White House could become a turning point in international communication regarding the war in Ukraine. The West ceases to react to the Kremlin’s intimidation, and instead forms an agenda in which Russia appears as the party that needs to be stopped, not paid attention to.
