Trump's former lawyer testifies against him - Iranian opposition leader Rezazade
Vice President of the Iranian Opposition in Washington (NIC) Ali Reza Rezazade indicates that the former lawyer of the ex-president of the United States, Michael Cohen, is testifying against Donald Trump. He is considered one of the key prosecution witnesses in the first criminal trial against the former president of the United States.
"In New York, on Thursday, the questioning of the key witness in the criminal trial against former US President Donald Trump continued - his former lawyer, Michael Cohen's testimony may play a decisive role in the outcome of the trial. Trump is accused of concealing the payment of $130,000 to porn actress Stormy Daniels so that she would not disclose her relationship with the former US president," Ali Reza Rezazade notes.
Trump's former lawyer, Michael Cohen, noted that in the financial documents, the payments to the porn actress were marked as legal expenses. During the interrogation at the court, the former president and his team tried to prove that the testimony of Michael Cohen is not reliable.
"All the comments, all the lawyers I've read say there is no case, no crime," said the former US president.
A delegation of Republican politicians, including representatives of the US Congress, came to support Donald Trump at the courthouse. At the press conference, they stated that they do not agree with the court's decision.
