Trump's Ultimatum to Iran: Last Warning Before a New War – Rezazade

US President Donald Trump has once again put the world on the brink of a geopolitical turning point. During a press conference on the South Lawn of the White House, he effectively voiced an ultimatum to Iran: either a complete abandonment of the nuclear program, or consequences that "nobody knows about."

At the same time, the head of the White House is avoiding a direct answer as to whether he has made a final decision on a military strike.

Despite public statements that "Iran wants negotiations," Trump emphasized that Tehran's appeals come too late, and "maybe it's too late to talk." The US President said that "next week will be big" - without specifying what exactly he meant.

Ali Reza Rezazade: “This is not diplomacy, this is strategic intimidation”

International expert and first vice president of the Iranian opposition in Washington, Ali Reza Rezazadeh, believes that Trump’s actions are “not a policy of peace, but a policy of ultimatum, which the world has already seen in the 20th century.”

“What Trump calls the ‘last warning’ is, in fact, an attempt to create an atmosphere of hopelessness for Iran. His language is not the language of diplomacy, but strategic intimidation with an eye on war,” Rezazadeh believes.

America Hesitates Between War and Presidential Honor

Trump’s rhetoric reflects a deep dilemma: on the one hand, he seeks to go down in history as the president who stopped wars; on the other, he faces the temptation to solve the “Iranian question” by force. The expert emphasizes that Israel has already undermined Tehran’s defense capabilities with a series of attacks, and now the United States is in an “ideal window of opportunity to strike.”

“But this window could easily turn into a portal to a new multi-year conflict, where the US will find itself alone with the consequences,” Rezazade warns.

For Ukraine, this is a signal of a change in US focus

According to the expert, the geopolitical shift of US attention from Europe to the Middle East could have long-term consequences for Kyiv.

“If the White House plunges into a new war in the Middle East, support for Ukraine risks becoming fragmented. We need to intensify diplomatic dialogue now not only with the US executive branch, but also with Congress, so as not to lose strategic priority,” Rezazade emphasizes.

As of now, Trump’s final decision is unknown. But it is already clear: the “last ultimatum” is not just words.
